Elevated A Tuesday (18 hours) – Virtual

Time: 6pm-9pm

November 22 & 29, December 6, 13, 20, and 27th – MUST ATTEND ALL SIX SESSIONS FOR CERTIFICATE

This class is required for Missouri foster parents to provide care for children with elevated needs and qualify for the Level A reimbursement rate. This is open to families that currently have children that qualify for Level A, or that are interested in providing care for children with elevated needs soon. In this class, families will learn how to expand their toolbox so they can better support youth with elevated needs. Topics will include a closer look at trauma informed parenting, developing and maintaining healthy relationships, cultural implications, the role of sexual orientation and gender identity, and managing challenging behaviors. A virtual link will be provided via email closer to class start.

NOTE: These trainings are currently offered to families specifically sponsored by KVC or Children’s Division. If your licensing worker comes from an agency, other than KVC or Children’s Division, please reach out directly to the organizer listed below. There may be a self-pay option arranged.
