MUST ATTEND ALL THREE SESSIONS TO RECEIVE CERTIFICATE
Time: 9am-3pm
This training is required for Missouri foster parents to provide care for children with elevated needs and qualify for the Elevated A reimbursement rate. It is also open to families that are interested in taking children with elevated needs or who are having a hard time with behaviors with current placements. In this class, families will learn how to better support children with elevated needs.
Topics will include, but not be limited to team and relationship building, communication skills, behavioral management techniques, discipline strategies, negotiation, and professional skills for foster parents. A virtual link will be provided closer to class start.
NOTE: These trainings are currently offered to families specifically sponsored by KVC, Great Circle, or Children’s Division. If your licensing worker comes from an agency, other than KVC, Great Circle, or Children’s Division, please reach out directly to the organizer listed below. There may be a self-pay option arranged.
