Date: March 6, 6pm-9pm
504’s and IEP- A brief discussion of special education basics including what you need in your Lifebook, how to request the initial evaluation, how to choose and modify accommodations, resources and supports available for parents including LEAP, MPACT, OCA, and additional online training. Additional facts including Special Education themes of importance to foster and adoptive parents Least Damaging Assumption, Least Restrictive Environment, McKinney Vento Act, and Free and Appropriate Education. A virtual link will be provided closer to class start.
NOTE: These trainings are currently offered to families specifically sponsored by KVC, Great Circle, or Children’s Division. If your licensing worker comes from an agency, other than KVC, Great Circle, or Children’s Division, please reach out directly to the organizer listed below. There may be a self-pay option arranged.
