As Director of Child Placing in the Kansas City, Northwest and Southwest regions, Amanda oversees a wide variety of community-based services for youth and families in need of mental health resources— recruiting, training and licensing new foster family homes, treatment foster care services for youth with elevated needs, prevention services for families at risk of out of home placement and aftercare services for youth discharged from residential treatment back to the community.

Amanda is a licensed master-level social worker and has been with KVC since 2014.  She started her career as a foster family support worker for KVC Kansas, later became a supervisor and has been in her current role since 2021.  Amanda is passionate about keeping families together, ensuring children are in the least restrictive placement possible and advocating for youth that are the most difficult to place in the foster care system.
