Importance of Sibling Placements: January 31 & February 7 Daytime- Virtual

January 31 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Importance of Sibling Placements: Part 1 & Part 2 (7 Hours) – Virtual
January 31 and February 7
Time: 10am-1:30pm

The Importance of Sibling Placements training helps foster parents understand why it’s important to keep brothers and sisters together when they can’t live at home. In this course, foster parents will learn to support team decisions about where siblings should live and how to better support families willing to care for them together.

This training teaches foster parents how to talk to the court about why siblings should stay together. It also helps them learn about the rules and laws that decide where siblings live when they can’t be with their parents.

By the end of this training, foster parents will know more about how to take care of sibling groups and will feel more confident in making decisions that help brothers and sisters stay together when they can’t be at home.

This training is required for all newly licensed foster parents in the first two years of licensure.

This is an online class. You will receive an email with a Zoom link.  Make sure you have downloaded the zoom app onto your device and plan to sign in a few minutes early to work through any technical difficulties.

*Instructor Tobey Wilkerson will send out a link 24 hours prior to the training
