Elevated Needs: Level B Training (9 hours) – Virtual

Times: 9:00am – 8:00pm

Building on the training received in the Elevated A series, this training will focus on specific elements required to care for youth with Elevated needs. Participants must have completed the Elevated A training before the course starts.

Must attend the entire session to receive the certificate. 

This is a great opportunity to bring your respite provider to training with you – we have overlapped the common topics in Level B Training and Level B respite to come together with respite providers to meet the needs of our children with elevated needs. Elevated B respite will only be in class 9am – 6pm.

This course will meet the requirements of Level B training as well as Treatment Foster Care training. 

1. Medication Management Agency Rules, Regulations, policy, and forms
2. Family Orientation and Caring for a Child with Serious behavior and emotional problems
3. Behavioral Management appropriate discipline techniques, Communication skills, and building self esteem
4. Suicide Management self injurious behaviors and children with serious emotional problems
5. Crisis Interventions–local protocols, inappropriate or destructive behavior such as lying, physical aggression, property destruction, and sexual acting out.

This is an online class. You will receive an email with a Zoom link 24 hours prior to training from Foster Parent Training Specialist Tobey Wilkerson.  Make sure you have downloaded the zoom app onto your device and plan to sign in a few minutes early to work through any technical difficulties.
