January 9 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Date: Tuesday, January 9, 2024
Time: 6:30-9:30 pm

The training on “The Effect of Separation from Parents on Children,” centered around Patricia Crittenden’s influential paper, offers an in-depth exploration of the impact of parent-child separation on children’s development. This program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the emotional, psychological, and behavioral effects that separation from parents can have on children across various ages and stages of development.

Throughout this training, participants will delve into Patricia Crittenden’s research and insights, gaining valuable knowledge about the ways in which parent-child separations can influence a child’s sense of security, attachment, and overall well-being. The course will focus on understanding the diverse reactions and coping mechanisms exhibited by children when faced with separation from their caregivers.

Key topics covered include the examination of attachment theory, exploring the different attachment styles that may emerge due to separation experiences, and understanding the implications for children’s emotional regulation and relationships.

Furthermore, the training will emphasize practical strategies for professionals and caregivers to support children experiencing separation, fostering resilience, and facilitating healthy coping mechanisms. Participants will explore intervention methods, effective communication approaches, and ways to create a nurturing environment that promotes healing and stability for children dealing with separation-related challenges.

By the conclusion of this training, attendees will have gained a deeper comprehension of the multifaceted impact of parental separation on children’s development. They will acquire practical tools and insights necessary to offer informed support, guidance, and care to children navigating the complexities of separation from their parents, fostering their emotional well-being and healthy development.
