Empowering Youth Transition Program

Helping Youth Build a Stable Future
KVC Missouri’s Empowering Youth Transition Program in Springfield, MO, supports youth and young adults in moving from homelessness or unstable housing toward independence. Through safe housing, life skills training, education and employment support and access to physical and mental health services, the program helps young people lay the foundation for a self-sufficient life.
Is This Program Right for Your Youth?
The Empowering Youth Transition Program is designed specifically for youth ages 16–21 who are not currently in foster care and are experiencing homelessness, unsafe housing or are at imminent risk of losing stable housing. The services provided are at no cost to the youth, making the program accessible for those most in need of transitional support.

Goals We Work Toward Together
- Providing stable, safe housing for youth facing homelessness
- Building employment, education and independent living skills
- Supporting mental health and overall wellbeing
- Creating stronger community connections and reducing future housing instability
Support That Bridges Immediate and Long-Term Needs
The Empowering Youth Transition Program will work closely with our Emergency Shelter to provide a seamless transition from immediate housing to long-term stability. Youth receive mentoring, life skills training and access to community resources that empower them to navigate adulthood confidently and stay connected to their communities.
