School Violence: Understanding the Impacts on Youth and Building Resilience Through Trauma-
Informed Practices – Virtual

Date: Thursday, October 5
Time: 12 – 1:30 p.m. CDT

School violence continues to traumatize students, school personnel, and families in our communities and across the nation. Along with that trauma, people are experiencing increased amounts of anxiety and other mental health challenges. We can re-establish a sense of safety and implement methods for increasing resiliency and coping abilities to help support our children, families, and school personnel. In this training, we will discuss the prevalence of school violence and how it is impacting youth mental health, identify areas of increased risk, and explore trauma-informed responses for helping youth develop resilience.

You will receive 1.5 CEUs for each webinar you attend live. CEUs can not be awarded for those watching recordings. These CEUs are approved by the Kansas & Missouri State Committees of Social Workers and can be used by any profession that recognizes State Committee for Social Worker-approved CEUs.
