Resource Parent Curriculum Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma: A Workshop for Resource Parents. This is an interactive workshop where participants learn how trauma-informed parenting can support a child’s safety, permanency, and well-being. Participants will engage in skill-building exercises to help them apply this knowledge to the children in their care. The workshop uses detailed case vignettes, as well as the participant’s own experiences with children, as a foundation for teaching concepts related to child traumatic stress. We cover eight modules in five sessions. 

This is an online class. You will receive an email with a Zoom link 24 hours prior to training from Foster Parent Training Specialist Kathy Haddock.  Make sure you have downloaded the zoom app onto your device and plan to sign in a few minutes early to work through any technical difficulties.

If your licensing worker comes from an agency, other than KVC, Great Circle, or Children’s Division, please reach out directly to the organizer listed below. There may be a self-pay option arranged.
