Christina Barton
Christina is responsible for maintaining compliance with the requirements of the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). She also cultivates strategic partnerships with food service vendors, identifies new resources to strengthen program operations and serves as the primary liaison between KVC Missouri and its food service partners.
Christina earned an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
Christina’s first role was a Cash Applications Specialist within the Finance Department. In 2023, she transitioned to the role of Staff Accountant for KVC Missouri, where she served as the primary liaison between KVC Missouri and DESE. Through this position, she developed extensive expertise in regulatory compliance, financial oversight and state reporting—experience that laid the foundation for her current leadership role.
