Ed Stewart
Edward (Ed) Stewart is the Associate Director of Programs for KVC Niles and has been with the organization for 16 years. Throughout his career at KVC, Ed has held many roles providing direct care to clients and leading direct care teams including Behavioral Health Technician, Level 6 Boys & Girls Supervisor, Campus Supervisor and Milieu Manager.
After his first eight years at KVC, Ed transitioned to a career working with adults with intellectual developmental disabilities as a QDDP and a PBIS Instructor for the state of Missouri. After serving in that role for 8 years he decided to re-join the KVC family because of his passion for KVC’s mission and service to children and families.
In addition to the experience he has gained in working with youth at KVC, Ed’s Additional experience includes serving as Site Director for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kansas City Missouri, where he was responsible for providing services to at-risk youth in Wyandotte County Public Housing Developments.
“I have made a decision to work in this field because I believe in investing in our youth, their families, their future, and our hard-working employees who care for the clients in our care. As the challenges increase, it becomes apparent that I strive to help our clients feel cared for, safe, and valued so that they can heal from the effects of the trauma they have experienced. My Goal on a daily is to have a positive impact on those who have been placed in our care.” – Ed Stewart
