La Dena Nsabimana

La Dena Nsabimana serves as the Director of Special Education at KVC Missouri, where she oversees the educational program provided at KVC Academy Columbia.

La Dena has served as the Associate Director of Special Education at KVC Missouri, where she has played an important role in supporting daily educational operations. In her work, she has helped ensure student documentation remains current and accurate while also supporting teachers in developing fun, engaging and effective lessons for students.

La Dena began her career as a paraprofessional, teaching preschoolers aged 3-5 for ten years. She then transitioned to working with kindergarten to 2nd-grade special education classrooms as a Teacher Technician (paraprofessional) for five years. After receiving her teaching license, La Dena spent the last two years teaching Special Education in 2nd to 5th grade classrooms.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Arts in Teaching – Special Education K-12.

“My ‘why’ will always be people. I find the most joy in life working with others. I have worked with people from birth to adulthood, and I am always trying to find new ways to interact, engage, and inspire those around me,” says La Dena Nsabimana.
