Mychael has worked in the mental health, education and human services fields for over six years. He has worked in social services, the juvenile justice system and residential treatment facilities. He has spent the last three years as a high school teacher at KVC Missouri’s Niles Academy.

“My purpose is to create opportunities for growth because I believe encouragement, guidance and genuine belief in a person can change the direction of their life. Education is about more than teaching skills—it’s about empowering people to believe in themselves and their ability to succeed. There is nothing more rewarding than watching someone achieve success, especially when the odds have been stacked against them.” -Mychael Burns
