Ryan Marcus, M.Ed.

Ryan Marcus

Ryan Marcus is the Director of Education at KVC Academy in Lebanon, Missouri. In this role, Ryan oversees all educational programming for the Lebanon campus and provides leadership and support to teachers, teacher assistants and paraprofessionals. He works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives a high-quality, individualized educational experience while participating in treatment, fostering learning environments that are safe, structured, trauma-informed and relationship-centered.

Originally from New York, Ryan relocated to Missouri in 2020 to continue his career in special education and educational leadership. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from the State University of New York at Cortland and a Master of Education in Special Education from Long Island University.

Ryan was a tenured teacher in the New York public school system. With more than twenty years of experience in education, Ryan has served as a physical education teacher, varsity soccer coach, athletic coordinator, special education administrator and educational leader. Ryan began his career with KVC as the Associate Director of Education at the Bearfield residential facility in Columbia before transitioning to his current role as Director of Education at KVC Academy in Lebanon.

Ryan believes that every child deserves to be seen beyond their challenges and recognized for their unique strengths and potential. His leadership philosophy centers on building trusting relationships, supporting educators and creating learning environments where students can experience growth, resilience and success both in the classroom and beyond.

In addition to his leadership role at KVC, Ryan is a published author and meditation teacher who creates resources that promote resilience, mindfulness and holistic wellness.
