Behavioral Interventionist Program

At KVC Missouri, our Behavioral Interventionist (BI) Program is designed to bring meaningful, lasting support to children and families navigating the challenges of trauma-related behaviors.

Serving children ages 6–18 in Jackson County, Missouri, the BI Program provides intensive, in-home behavioral services tailored to each family’s unique needs. Whether a child is struggling with emotional regulation, aggressive behavior or trauma responses, our team is here to help — right where they live, in the environment where they feel most comfortable.

Our mission is simple but powerful:
To deliver evidence-based behavioral interventions that help children and families build stability, resilience and healthy relationships.

Through personalized care plans, hands-on coaching and collaborative support, we walk alongside families as they build the tools and confidence needed to restore connection and safety at home. Our ultimate goal is to stabilize the home environment and prevent crisis-driven outcomes like hospitalizations, residential placements, or adoption disruptions.

The BI Program isn’t just about managing behavior — it’s about empowering children, equipping caregivers, and strengthening the entire family system. Because when families are supported, children can truly thrive.
